Summary

Based on recommendations by the Lockhart Review Committee, the bill amends the

Prohibition of Human Cloning Act 2002
and
Research Involving Human Embryos Act 2002
to: retain existing prohibitions on certain human reproductive cloning and other assisted reproductive technology activities; and permit certain human embryo research, under licence. Also amends the short title of the
Prohibition of Human Cloning Act 2002
; and amends the Customs (Prohibited Exports) Regulations 1958.
